Adelaide University Rotaract is all about: Volunteering, Professional & Personal Development, FUN and Friendship.
We build leaders whilst giving back to the community!
Rotaract is the younger people’s version of Rotary International with memberships available for students, young professionals, and community-minded individuals aged 18 and over. We are an international organisation that promotes goodwill and community service whilst helping our members realise their full potential as empowered leaders.
We strive to build professional and personal development through access to volunteering opportunities, local and international projects, networking events and guest speaking engagements.
Immerse yourself in the Rotaract experience and you'll be amazed at how far you'll go, the people you'll meet along the way while discovering what it means to be an effective leader.

Ongoing Volunteering
Monthly Torrens River
On the first Wednesday of every month, our volunteers team up with a community organisation, Trash Hero Adelaide, to clean the River Torrens. The recyclables are sorted from the trash and money from selling those recyclables is donated to charity. It’s not only a fun environmental activity, but also a wholesome way to meet new people.

We Rotaractors like helping package food kits down at Gepps Cross Markets to those in need with Puddle Jumpers!
Our volunteers begin the day at 11:00 am with a passion warm enough to endure the cold weather. Yet, with great work and care, the day ended with a truck-full of nutritious produce sorted and ready to be sent out to the wider community! A heart-felt thankyou to all those who attend. You've made a difference for the community! |

Charity Game Night
Together we were able to raise $2635 through the Game Show and Bake Sale. The funds raised will be donated to UNICEF India to assist their COVID-19 relief programs.
We would like to thank all the people who supported this great cause and contributed to help people who have been affected the most. Also, we are really grateful to all the volunteers from both AURC and AUMSA who made this fundraiser not only possible but a huge success. |

In total, our volunteers and friends planted more than 1500 trees!

Science and
Rotaract is at the Science and Engineering Challenge!
Wrapping up our day of working with young scientific minds , our volunteers were indispensable in setting up the event bringing together schools across the state to compete in a series of challenges. Rotaractors were tasked with introducing the rules of the competition, encouraging teamwork, communication, and innovation amongst the school entrants. This dynamic environment offered high school students the chance to work outside the bounds of the classroom and encouraged them to create and engineer their way to success! |

Kodomo no Hi Japan
On Saturday, Rotaractors were involved in the set up and preparation at Thebarton Community Centre for Kodomo no Hi Japan Festival (Children’s Day). Our people helped out as on-site demonstrators, COVID marshals, raffle ticket sellers among the many odd jobs we took up on the day.
We were also fortunate enough to be treated with vast amounts of good food to celebrate this special occasion. On our breaks, we also participated in the fun by dressing up in kimonos and other fun activities and performances to mark the occasion. Thanks to the Japan Australia Friendship Association JAFA in Adelaide for being fantastic organisers and a special thanks to our volunteers for making this event a special success! |

Indofest VolunteeringOur large team of volunteers led by Community Services Director, Aparna Nithyanand helped organise the 2-day Indofest event at Pinky Flats on 27th and 28th of March 2021 with the Indonesian community. The crowd, numbering in the thousands, came to take part in the celebrations of Indonesian culture and cuisine. We were on our feet around the clock as COVID marshals and stagehands doing odd jobs to ensure everything ran smoothly. In return, volunteers gained event management experience and enjoyed a day out in the sun with friends.
